E-Portfolios
The instruction and development of student work and performance using e-Portfolios has increased steadily over the last ten years. These portfolios allow students to develop a demonstrative body of work which can be used for assessment, guidance, reflection, and promotion. The Instructional Design Team at ODL will provide you with an overview of the basic structure and current options in using e-portfolios in your classroom or department.

Online Communities of Practice
The idea that learning does not necessarily need to occur in a classroom environment is best described by the concept of learning communities. These communities, while facilitating communication, engage participants in the  creation of meaning, and provide for learning to occur in its most natural environment.

This workshop is intended for faculty members and administrators who are interested in using the available learning management systems to facilitate student advising, support, and interactions.
